Oh my goodness, how time flies! I simply cannot believe that our little tiny baby princess is one! It seems like she is still such a little baby...can it be that she was really born 12 months ago?! While Georgia has taken her time to get going on some things, she is starting to make some progress:-She scoots all over the place on her little bottom. She is surprisingly fast!
-She is developing quite the love of books like Wesley did and will spend quite some time just flipping through them, studying the pages.
-She is a pretty good eater, when she wants to be. She is pretty much doing all "big girl" food now, which is nice and frees me up a little; I like to pull her high chair into the kitchen so she can eat while I'm working on dinner for the rest of us. She doesn't always have a huge appetite, but she has a good variety of foods she loves. Some of her absolute faves are blueberries, avocado, cheese (I honestly believe the girl could eat her own weight in cheese!), tofu, sweet potatoes and broccoli!
-She finally has four teeth though she's had to work hard for them; the pediatrician said that she has several "right there" just trying to push through. No wonder the girl gets crabby sometimes!
-While she still isn't crawling, Georgia is finally getting comfortable being on her belly more. We often find her passed out on her belly in her crib during our final check of the night. She sometimes ends up sleeping on her tummy the entire night.
We had G's 1-year well baby exam yesterday and my poor sweet girl got four shots. I am still paying for this today as she just screamed and fought her morning nap for more than an hour. Normally, I will only let her not sleep for up to an hour, but I knew she was exhausted and needed to sleep. Thank God, she finally passed out! Boy, oh boy, does our girl have a good set of lungs, which she demonstrated for everyone at the docs' office yesterday. I know the shots hurt, but I'm pretty sure she was more mad than anything else. Not sure where she gets that temper...ha ha!
Our darling daughter is still petite, though not concernedly so. She weighs nearly 19 1/2 pounds and is 28" long, putting her in the 20th percentile for both. Georgia still has her big, beautiful, round head, coming in at the 88th percentile, which of course we know means she has LOTS of brains up there!

We had a tiny party for her on the day after her birthday with just my folks, sister and her kids. It was just right, and the cousins had so much fun playing together! The highlight of the day was watching Georgia tear into her cupcake like it was Christmas goose! I had a suspicion that she might love it because she adores fruit and this momma loves sweets...you can see that she was not shy about celebrating!
