I was a little rushed on the post about Georgia's birthday because I knew I was fighting the clock with her nap. I've since realized I left out some of the sweetest and most special things our precious girl is up to.She loves to wave! Even if one of us has just been in a different room, she will often wave to us when she sees us again. SO cute!
Georgia absolutely adores Wesley! He is a wonderful big brother and she loves him so much. He can get her to smile just about always! Even when she is upset or fussy, he can usually cheer her up. I am so excited about the friendship my two sweet kiddos will have throughout their lives. Priceless!
As for right now, Georgia is pretty good about sharing - her food! She is so cute when she's eating and particularly enjoying something, she will offer us a bite. She seems very excited and happy to do so, which is what makes it so darling. It's as if she thinks, "Hey, I'm really loving this sweet potato, and I think you'll like it too. Here, why don't you try a bite?!"
I've been working with her on baby signing; it was SO helpful with Wesley. She's been doing her own version of "all done" and just like her big bro, there is no doubt that she is ALL DONE! She is starting to do her own funny little "more" and it's funny. Instead of tapping her fingers together, she pulls one set of fingers with the other hand...it's hard to describe. I will try to video it some time to share. BTW, she definitely has "no" down with her little head shake.
Georgia's personality is really starting to shine. She is such a neat mix. She is feisty and headstrong; definitely opinionated and not afraid to let you know what she thinks. But she is also quite flexible and easy-going. Sometimes I know people think I'm "telling stories" on her when I talk about her giving me "what for" on something. I would swear the girl just knows to be on her best behavior for others. It's hilarious! When we're at home, she's great with the schedule we've established for her. But when we have to be out at nap time, she just rolls with the punches and seems to adapt well. All of the nursery workers at church LOVE her and usually tell me when I pick her up that she was the best/sweetest/easiest baby and/or the only one that didn't meltdown. She is also silly; she seems to like to try to make us laugh. And she has the sweetest laugh! Georgia is affectionate. She does this super-sweet little thing with her head when she wants to give you love. She leans her head in and wants to touch her forehead to yours. We think that's her way of telling us she loves us.
She is a wonderful baby and we are excited to watch her grow into a little girl. She is the perfect complement to our little family of four + dog. That reminds me - she is enamored of Rusty and thinks he is the funniest thing! Thank you, Lord, for our precious, sweet, lovable baby!
